good technology in delivery /poor network viewing

I am not a big tv watcher, consider the programming of networks available on cable or dish boring. TV could and should be better than it is today so decided no more cable or dish. ROKU is a much better option,

Not sure how Roku packed all the features into a package this size for the price... but when it boils down to something working and working well without much hassle... the streaming stick is the way to go!

Roku stick - compared to Roku 3

I purchased a Roku stick to use on an infrequently watched bedroom TV. I also have Roku 3 that I use a lot on my primary TV. Installation of the stick (and subsequent firmware update) was seamless. Picture and audio quality were also up to my expectations.
The one drawback of the stick is that it doesn't have the processing power of the Roku 3, so you will find yourself waiting on it a lot more than the box. The delays between remote keypresses and the stick response are sometimes a little irritating. If you're a patient person, then you won't mind this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

improvements required for canadians to access more

I bought the Roko about 1 year ago and recently purchased one for my son with the hopes and anticipation that he would be able to access more tv programs than I as he lives in the city, but he cannot

I bought two of these, one for the LR TV, one for the downstairs office TV. The LR TV one works great. The other one works fine one day, and doesn't work the next. Totally random. I have four main channels, Hulu+, Netflix, Pandora, and Amazon Prime. Yesterday, nothing worked. It tells me I have a connection error, but my wifi and computer work fine. Doesn't tell me how to fix it, just boots me out. I wonder if it'll work today? I never know.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing

My husband and I had been discussing streaming television from our Wi-Fi connection. We had discussed a few difference products and I specifically had mentioned Amazon fire TV. However, he came home with a Roku stick which we tried for about 2 1/2 weeks. It was subpar, to put it kindly. Our Amazon fire arrived, which works beautifully, and the Roku was returned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
