latency and speed issues

With a flux of so many streaming devices in market, it is natural for consumers to compare interface , speed , time to respond and latencies apart from price. For my device the speed, time to respond for a remote button press has constantly been on rise., sometimes even frustratingly high. This on a fully loaded duracell battery and a 5 Gig wifi connection. Sometimes it has unexplainable latencies in streaming. Overall average to poor experience
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Small, simple and works

I functions just like its bigger brother in bringing streaming media to my monitor at a very reasonable price. Sadly, it only handles my local videos as MPEG-4 and is not quite a quick in response time as my larger Roku.

Bought Roku a few weeks ago and have rediscovered TV as an intelligent entertainment venue. The access to great shows and documentaries is very easy.

I love watch hunting and fishing the most, and I most sincerely love it when i'm watch some or most of them free. I would get rid of paying Mediacom cable and stick with roku maybe for the rest of my life?

Tight Fit

Stick is to long. didn't fit in first tv i wanted to use it in because the ports were in a deep small pit in back of tv. Barely fit in the second tv because the ports are in a lowered area but with some work I got it in. On second tv the Roku stick is at an angle and will most likely end up breaking due to the pressure being put on it.
My kids love it and can get to anything and everything so easily, my 5 year old had PBS Kids up and running in less then a min.

...oh yes it worked great for a month or so..then one day even though you could see the roku logo on the TV it would never start up. No matter what hdmi slot I plugged it into, it would do the same thing...show roku...then an error message stating your device is either turned off or not working...then back to the roku logo and repeat....since my kid threw away the box..i cant even take it back
