Provided access to streaming sites (Netflix, etc) quickly and with excellent performance. So simple to install and use. One of my Best Buys in 2014.

Horrible - Stops every minute or two

I was given this product as a gift. It is horrible. The previous roku media player I had worked fine, but quit working, so I was given the new one. It works fine for a minute or two at a time! Then it stops, and takes up to 5 mins. before the show comes back on. Then it starts back all over again at the beginning of the program. Total bummer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm not up to all the new technology and my reason to get the RUKU was to be able to get Netflix on my TV as I am in an area that does not access to cable and the only channel I was able to get was with an antenna. I've found that with RUKU I able to access Netflix and it's a lot less expensive than getting DIsh TV. I'm very satisfied with the product. I needed some assistance when I first signed on and the ROKU support line helped me get on the first time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth buying at twice the cost!

Absolutely in love with the basic functions. My one and only complaint is: we downloaded the phone app but the keyboard doesn't work. This of course makes it impossible to search quickly. That being said I know the cable companies will try to stop ROKU. It's simply too awesome.

The Roku stick enabled us to easily tie Netflix into our TV. Were struggling to get the technology coordinated and Roku did the job!

Wi-di unstable

After messing with the streaming stick for several weeks I reconnected my 5+ year old Roku and all is well. I've reconnected the stick to wifi probably 30 times and get various messages that my router may not be in range. My password could be incorrect, etc. However, I never get this will the old box. Very disappointed. I wanted to just clean up the area by eliminating the box but it's too frustrating trying to access via the stick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
