I like my ROKU!

I like my ROKU stick. I got it as a gift for Christmas. Plugged it in and in a few minutes it had found my account and was working.
It does have an issue. After being on several hours it locked up and would not connect to the internet after restarting. I figured it was faulty. I started looking on line and discovered this happens to some of these sticks when there is interference from the TV. Mine was plugged into my Samsung, flat against the back with little room between the two devices. I seems the cure is to get it away from the TV. I added a 90 degrees HDMI adapter and an extension cable. Now it hangs behind the TV and is several inches away and works great. It has been on for hours with no problem. More info form ROKU would have really helped as I found the answer elsewhere. Apparently they will provide a 4 inch extension if ask. If one had been in the box with a short explanation it would have saved me loads of time.
Saying that, it does work well. It does seem faster than my 5 year old ROKU box and has more options for channels

Love Roku

I love the Roku. Wish I would have done it a long time ago. I have the Roku 1 and the streaming stick. I have trouble with the remote on the streaming stick being able to find the signal sometimes but that is my only issue. The format is great, the picture is too.

The only real problem I have is the remote never stays synced. We use the mobile app to get around that but it seems to drain my battery a bit, it's frustrating.

I bought this last month after receiving a Roku 3 as a gift, it is awesome! I also own an Amazon fire stick - I am a big Amazon fan but Roku has better features, search capability and a better remote. Roku allows you to search across all streaming apps/channels.
