I actually own a smart TV but decided to add a Roku stick because of all the extra channels. So glad I did. So much free content and many of the subscription channels I was already subscribed to. Basically plug and play installation, and performance has been flawless.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like the price, ease of use and features of the stick. The drawback is navigating Netflix, can't go back to previous screen to search easily.

My Grand Daughter LOVES it!

We purchased the Roku stick for our grand daughter (3 1/2 yrs old) as a gift for Christmas along with her new LED TV and let me tell you that she don't leave her room. . By the way, we loved it so much we just order the ROKU 3 and already scheduled to cancel my cable service and keep my internet service only. This pays for it's self.

Needs a stronger signal than other WiFi enabled gadgets, but other than that works as advertised. Smoother play than Chromecast. If you are looking for free TV, this isn't it, but if you already have subscriptions to some of the channels this is the simplest way to watch them.
