Great but has bugs.

I bought is for Christmas and it wouldn't connect to the internet so I had to reset it. Then once we got it working the remote kept coming unpaired which resulted in me downloading the app on my phone. But overall is great investment for movies and to catch up on tv shows that I missed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

remote doesnt work well. it jumps up or down when i want to go side to side. very frustrating. will sell this and get the amazon fire stick

I purchased the Roku 1 after cutting the cable and I enjoyed it so much that I decided on the streaming stick for my bedroom t.v. and even bought one as a gift for my daughter!

My we guilty pleasure

I read the reviews online comparing the Kindle fire to the Roku and Chrome cast and I wanted something that would allow me to watch Netflix Hulu plus HBO go among other stream channels without a whole lot of hassle and this was it
The set up was easier than hooking up a DVD player or even a video game to my hdtv

I loved it so much I moved it from the bedroom to the Kitchen so I would be able to binge watch shows while I was cooking
When my daughter came home from college I let her borrow it to binge watch netflix shows
Now I never feel frustrated about not having access to our smart tv during football season because it allows me to watch most of the same streaming channels in any room. I would recommend this as a great gift to anyone who has an hdtv but cannot afford a smart tv
