I was introduced to Roku at a friend's house. I was impressed and wanted to get another source for movies. I live in a rural area, and have to depend to broad band for the internet. Much to my disappointment, I was unable to use the Roku because my broad band would not support the movie channels. I turned around and gave it to a friend who has high speed internet, and she is enjoying it daily. I was disappointed with my broad band internet, but I think Roku is another wonderful avenue for t.v., try it if you have high speed internet. You will be pleasantly surprised at the service you will have from the Roku employees.
This was our second Roku product we bought for our upstairs television and it works perfectly as we would expect. Installation is slightly awkward with the password section as it took awhile to get it right and should be reworded for clarity. Get the one that can use earbuds if you wish to watch something while your partner wants to sleep.
I like the streaming stick however if your tv has an hdmi/mhl port get the mhl version. There is no extra cord for power and much quicker to load/start up also. This is for the tv my daughter uses mostly so it's perfect for us
I enjoy the simplicity of using Roku. Bought as Christmas gift for my husband. We have had to reboot twice in the three weeks we've used it, but otherthan that, it works well.
