I have had good luck with my Roku so far. There are only 2 things that I wish it would do that it does not. One is to give me the ability to organize the selected/subscribed channels rather than just lumping them all into the main screen. The other is to able to setup "profiles" with the channels for each user. I do not necessarily want to see the same ones as my wife does. That is the one thing that Netflix has that is great. I see only my movies and not hers.
The Roku Streaming Stick is great. It streams from all the big name players and so many more. And the wireless internet connection is solid. I've been pleased every time I've used it!
Had one before and it worked fine. Bought two recently. Had unsolvable problems with the signal crashing on one of our TV's. Evidently, devise must be 20 feet or less away from TV. If you can do that, get one. We just cancelled Netflix and are going back to cable 'cause of all of the problems. I would recommend Roku ONLY if you can keep your router close to it.
This product is so easy to use. Plug it in, connect and go. I was streaming all my favorite apps within a matter of seconds. The only time I've ever had was it rebooting itself, but later discovered it was because of the app (A&E) crashing, since then no problems. Streams flawlessly
I was previously convinced a full PC should be used to view online movies but the fact that the Roku is always on, no boot up time, and its channel lineup changed my mind. There are lots of free channels and the NetFlix interface is almost as good as a PC, I would say the only thing missing in the interface is the inability to browse by genre.
