This device is great and portable. We can take it where ever we go and have access to all our favorite content. Can't wait till the streaming function comes out of beta, great for showing my Android Device screen on the TV.

Love the portability

I purchased mine for Christmastime and we enjoyed many a show together. It would be nice to have a 90 turn at hdmi end of stick to allow the tv to be closer to back wall . My cord on stick was ruined by pressure of tv leaning against wall on wall hanging mount. A 90 degree turn would eliminate this problem. I had to go purchase a new cord and move my tv mount spaced away from wall to prevent it from happening again.

I received the Roku Streaming stick for Christmas and love it. While I love my college basketball and probably won't cut the cord for cable (at least for a while) I wanted something where I could watch the games broadcast on ESPN 3 on my TV instead of my tablet, plus other free content. There are so many free channels with interesting programs. I found a show I started watching several years ago that only the first 3 seasons were shown in the US, and now I can watch all 9 seasons. Free trials of Netflix and Hulu allow me to decide if I'll use the services enough to justify paying for their content.

Love it but MiraCast is weak

my Roku stick is great like that i can download different apps works well. I love the search feature - searches across all services. It only received RF which is great and very reliable especially if you have it behind your TV or in a stereo cabinet like i do but, my universal remote is IR. However the phone remote app is a nice feature so you don't have to dig up the Roku remote.
I just wish they would create a mirroring app like Chrome Cast does. The Roku relies on Miracast which is very unstable especially when pushing video.
