I bought this as a means to enjoy movies and not pay so much each month. It has worked every day and no down time like cable.

This reminds me of what television looked like 20 years ago the picture is horrible it's very grainy not very clear and this is on a brand new TV an Roku bought the same day

My Roku Stick is an interesting alternate route

The Roku stick has opened a number of new channels to my TV. There is YouTube, News (ABC, CBS, NBC, etc.) as well as a number of other channels with less establishment views and news. A huge bunch of movies, particularly old movies, including Buster Keaton Chaplin and others. These are all in the free list; I haven't tried the pay channels yet, still looking at the range and type of things that don't cost extra. So far it is a great investment.

Streams 1080 Mkv files "blu ray" from PC which is awesome. Netflix and Amazon is what else I use. I have been using it heavily for two months now and not a single hiccup. Plex app works flawless wireless to wireless on ea3200 liinksys router. Two thumbs up!!
