Easy Setup and works great; except for remote

I bought Roku Streaming Stick just after Christmas and it really was an easy setup like it says, however, after a few usages the remote didn't seem to want to connect/work. I was able to download an app for my smart phone to use instead. I'm back to watching shows frustration free again. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the remote.

Did not meet my expectations

- During the initial setup, the device kept trying to initialize, but kept failing with an error - even though the internet speed and connection was very good (50 mbps).
- Takes a long time to start - requires the device to be plugged in all the time
- Was not impressed with the choice of channels

Ended up going back to using the PC as the player streaming over HDMI.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I mounted tv in game room and wanted to stream without using a game system or seeing any cords. Did research and decided to try the Roku streaming stick. Simply amazing. Great pic with no issues. Owned for several mounths and would recommend to anyone. I do disslike having to use my credit card for set up. Should be an option. Not cool.

Every time i try to watch a show it stops somewhere along the way and reloads. This happens often and is very troubling.

Enjoying our Roku!!

We bought our Roku based on a recommendation from a friend. We are really enjoying our Roku and all of the options that it has for watch shows and listening to music. So thrilled that it connects with no issues to Netflix. We also enjoy the less "run of the mill" types of channels. Loving the gospel channels as well as ability to watch all sorts of different types of shows that we never thought would interest us. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a new way to watch their television. Plus the original investment in the Roku has paid for itself many times over. Very glad to have this in our home.
