I used the stick for a time and then returned to my larger Roku Box, due to the heat of the stick. I worried about it burning out. I have it, but am more relaxed using the larger box unit.
The Roku streaming stick works good when it works. Sometimes it isn't working when I turn the TV on and I have to unplug it and re-plug it and move it from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 and back again- I've only had it about a month and doing that has worked so far. The other day it seemed like maybe my remote wasn't working because the Roku home screen would come on but I couldn't choose anything to watch (I did check the batteries), so I gave up and the next day it was working. I am not sure what is going on with it, but like I said, when it works, it works good. I was also a little surprised that the stick piece has to be plugged into an outlet, it doesn't just go in the tv with no wires.
Purchased especially to watch the above channel. Initially had problems with ROKU stopping after 20 minutes, but after online chat with a ROKU tech the problem has been solved, and now is operating very well. Thanks
We are pleased with the stick. It works quite well, even though we have a slow (1.5 Mb DSL) broadband line. A show will stop twice at the start to get caught up, and then will play through to the end without problems. The interface is slow to respond, but, everything is on a USB stick, so it isn't unexpected.
I purchased this Roku stick about a month ago. Since then I have had to reset the remote daily. The stick is much slower as compared to a Roku 3. I have head to reset the stick as it often fails to show my favorite channels.
