I have an older television that is giving me some trouble with the RoKu. I am not sure if it is the TV or the Roku but I think I have it fixed now. When it is working I love it. I would like a way to delete some of the sites once I discover that I don't use them.
I purchased this a month ago and tried it for three weeks. The Roku always lost connection and using both amazon prime and Netflix it would need to spool over and over again and sometimes the movie would never load. I ended up getting an adaptor for my TV to load Netflix and amazon prime and we have no issues. movies load quickly and the household is happy. Maybe I got a bad Roku?
I didn't use it for a long time not wanting to learn something new but when I started I found the layout simple and choices to be better than the competitors. I think I'm now ready to give up cable! Will be getting another soon for upstairs I hope.
I have the roku 3 which is great. The roku stick is another story. It is wireless only and is extremly slow. You cannot watch netflix or any movie that loads. This is completely useless, called roku, they were no help and rude. Super unhappy will not ever buy another roku product
I first purchased a Roku 3 mainly to watch Netflix on my main TV. It worked so well I then purchased a Streaming Stick for my bedroom. I use a dual ban router (2.5 & 5). Both Roku devices work great and any difference in speed is very small. The Roku 3 does allow you to play games. I am not a game player, so the Streaming Stick is a better buy. Netflix and Amazon are both great channels for a Roku as is England's Sky News. Roku has a remote that works great. Other devices require you to use your phone, tablet or computer to operate their device.
