So Many Options

When my wife and I bought our Roku stick we thought we were just going to be able to catch up on all the great TV shows and movies we have missed. We were pleasantly surprised to find so much to offer the whole family. We are using it more for educational programming and children's shows for our 3 year old than anything else. And, I just found out today, I can download the Roku app and we can stream our pictures from our iPad and phones too. Great product!

Lots of Streaming channels

Was surprised how many channels are on this streaming stick. I'm going to drop my cable to basic, don't need their premium channels anymore with the hdmi streaming stick.

Works Great; All the Apps

We bought another TV for our guest bedroom which was a great deal but it was not a "smart TV". So we picked up the Roku Streaming Stick at the same time thinking it would be needed for Netflix, VUDU and so forth. Initially I had the Roku plus a basic cable connection to the new set and thought we might have to add another cable box. Turned out the Roku had the Time Warner Cable streaming app available. With TWC as our wireless broadband provider we are able to get all the TWC channels and including our premium channels in HD through the Roku. So the cable is disconnected and we are watching everything through the Roku Stick. The only wired connection to the set is AC power. The set happens to have a USB port so we are able to power the Roku from the TV. The Roku Stick picks up the TWC wireless router which is in another building on our property no problem. So no cable box needed for this TV. The remote works perfectly even though the stick is plugged into the HDMI port on the back of the set. In this case the Roku Stick was the perfect solution.

Works better than I expexted. We have already seen some excellent movies. Great to be able to see TV shows without commercials.
