I bought 3 of the streaming sticks and dumped Dishnet. I am so happy with the entertainment selections and the savings. I recommend switching from cable or satellite soon.

I bought this to keep my 15 yr old son off my laptop. It works far better than expected. Will be replacing blue ray player with this one as soon as possible.

I've been using Roku for a month and a half now and i'm very happy with it, all you need is a television and an outlet and your good to go!

i bought this worked fine for 8 months now it freezes and sometimes resets its self also says no wi fi connection but all other wifi devices works now wont let me even get started to main page stuck on start up .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got this as a gift for Christmas. I couldn't use it the TV I originally wanted to because the HDMI ports are recessed and the Roku Stick wouldn't fit in the space. I was going to buy an HDMI extender cable, but then I decided to check out the TV where my Roku 3 was. Turned out that one has straight out ports AND a powered USB port, so problem solved. I did have a decent amount of trouble getting it to log on to my network and download the upgrade at the start. I looked around online and found some suggestions, but none of them seemed to help. I gave up on it after a couple hours of fiddling. The next day, when I went to try again, it had been updated. Very weird. Since it is powered by the USB port, it shuts down when the TV is turned off. Where my TV is, I can't reach an outlet with the power cord, so that's my only option at this point. It takes FOREVER to turn on and allow me to start browsing. Well, maybe not forever, but at least 4-5 minutes, which seems like forever when you want to hop on to Netflix. Other than that, it seems to work pretty much the same as my Roku 3, which didn't give me any of the same connection problems.
