I bought the roku for my mother for Christmas and it is a great product. I use an xbox 360 at home to stream movies, however the xbox drops connection with the internet 2 to 3 times a night the Roku stays constantly on.
I've had this product for about a month, I'm pretty happy with it. I love how it turns any TV into a smart TV. There are a few things that could be fixed. There is no standard Internet browser, You are forced into paid upgrades with channels that offer free and paid subscriptions. Example there is a Hulu plus channel that you can only watch if you have a Hulu plus subscription, Hulu regular is free but there isn't a way to watch it through your Roku device. Also, the remote I got is kind of flaky it'll just stop working for no reason until you switch the batteries around. (I've tried new batteries three times now and it still performs the same way. )

I bought this a while back, and I really like it for the most part. The functioning of the stick is good. My only complaint would be that some of the 'free' stations actually have a cost involved when one goes to their site.
The Roku Stick has a great form factor, great if you're trying to minimize visible cables. The Roku interface is great and is a breeze to get through and find what you want, there are also a lot of apps and programs available so you'll likely have exactly what you want.
One issue that I have is that it didn't come with an HDMI Extender (like the Chromecast does) making it impossible to plug into my television due to its length. If your TV only has a small area for its HDMI ports keep this in mind.
I brought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. I love the easy set up. You just have to plug it and and then follow the prompts on the screen. Easy enought that I was able to set it up in lest than 5 minutes.Thats saying a lot since I am technically challenged grandma.
