I bought 3. The first one with the raised plastic buttons on the remote works perfect. The 2 others with the rubberized buttons has issues all the time. Remote just stops working, works again after removing and putting back batteries. The batteries were not dead or even close to dead. Also, how do you complain about issues with individual apps. CBS News app constantly dumps out and sends me back to home screen. None of my other apps do that. Overall, really like it and understand this will only get better, but there is a lot of room for improvement to come.

Works well for WatchEspn, Netflix, EBRU TV and some other TV everywhere apps, if you have a PayTv sub, otherwise only really useful for Netflix or SlingTv. Not really anything else worth using. A few apps have a decent selection of entertainment but are laden with so many advertising inserts, its not worth using
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great sandbox to play in

I've just started to get deeper into Roku. Now mostly Netflix and Amazon movies. I've experienced occasional need to reboot the device (unplug/plug power) - so working through that. Complements a TV with digital antenna. Looking forward to adding more apps and having fun.

We have had Roku for about a month now and I am wondering why I never thought of this sooner. I save around $70 dollars a month on TV bills. The number of programs and the type of programs are endless.

Good product. Would be GREAT with CBS All Access

Purchased over a month ago and I am very pleased with this product. I do have two complaints though.
1. The remote needs to have a fast button for HULU+ instead of MGO. I would think more people are watching TV through HULU+ instead of MGo because it is so much cheaper.
2. Roku needs to work with CBS and get a CBS All Access channel. Most of the shows I watch are on CBS and since I cancelled my cable I have to log onto my computer to watch those shows. With an All Access channel I could watch ALL my shows through the TV via the Roku stick which was the point to begin with.

Great gift!

I was given this item as a gift from my grandson who is a tech guru. I found the system fantastically easy to set up and get running (incidentally, I'm a 78 year old grandmother and set it up myself without any help .. so that should make you feel good!).
