Don't Miss Cable TV

Following a recent hike in our cable costs, my husband and I decided to purchase a Roku Stick. While my husband was away, I installed the Roku. I am not technical at all and can be very impatient when having to work with TV's or computers of any sort. It was definitely not as easy as the the directions suggest, but I called Roku support and they were absolutely wonderful. I purchased a second Roku for the TV upstairs and had to call again as the directions did not align with what my TV was doing. Again, they were wonderful. I've had this product for less than two months and have already had to replace one power cord. The service and the product, however, were just what we needed to toss that cable bill out the window. We pay for Netflix and are Amazon Prime members, both of which we feel are well worth paying for. We selected many of the free channels that come with Roku and are very happy with the service. We do not miss cable at all.

Great idea

This stick made our television installation possible in the space we selected It gives us the ability to watch the shows available through roku on our newest television without having to install an unwanted shelf to hold the box

I bought this before shoulder replacement surgery so I could convalesce and watch movies. I am some what disappointed that after playing a movie for awhile it interrupts to load more of the movie. Perhaps there is something wrong with the stick

One Issue

Love the stick, but the remote rarely works. I can bypass this by using the app on my phone. If I flip the batteries around in the remote it works for a few minutes; however, this is even with brand new batteries so it has to be a remote issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We tried so many different ways to stream Netflix and our kids were sick of us stealing their PS3 because it was the only one that wasn't buffering every few minutes. We did some reading and decided to give the ROKU stick a try and are so glad we did. We've not had any problems. We can finally watch our shows on Netflix without buffering issues, etc. Plus, we can use the stick for other things...like watching Youtube on our tv. Very pleased!
