Having already purchased Roku for my home and mountain cabin it was a no brainer to get one for my Motorhome. Cable at RV Parks while on the road are not always dependable. I have found the Roke Streamng Stick will work at most parks even though the signal might not be the best. For that break to relax and watch a movie on Netflix, Amazon Prime or some of the many other channels Roku works great!
I recently decided to enter the world of streaming and Roku was recommended to me. I purchased it and found it extremely easy to set up and use. I am very happy with its performance and not being so tied to DVDs. A great purchase!
I bought a reconditioned version of the stick for my second TV. Overall, it is identical experience to my Roku3 (which I love). There's not much more to say about Roku overall - it's a great product and a great interface.
My issues are with the stick version. Interactivity lags - press a button and the stick takes a bit to respond. And unless you leave the stick powered on all the time, the remote will disconnect from the stick, leaving you no way to do anything. It happens to me every time I turn off the TV and then I have to fiddle with battery removal and pairing button annoyance for at least 10 minutes before the stick magically finds the remote again.
Finally, why do I have dedicated buttons on my Roku for services I don't subscribe to? I could understand dedicated programmable buttons, but without that capability, it's just a bunch of stuff I have to ignore. Annoying.
Finally, the wi-fi only nature of the stick means that I can't stream at better than 720p. That may be due to my router being too far from the stick but it's another minor annoyance.
