I've noticed that over time from moving it around to different televisions and traveling that the hdmi connector on the stick has become loose and will only work when it is set it just the right position. Maybe some more reinforcement around that area would prevent that. And maybe a switch on the remote that turns off the button, couldn't tell you how many times I've rolled over in bed only to hit a button and had to wait for it to reload my movie....
I purchased two Roku sticks for my two TVs. The Roku works great for Netflix, but aside from that I'm rather disappointed. I did not realize that you can't stream a channel such as FX or NatGeo unless it is included in your cable subscription. Also, for anything other than Netflix there is a lot of "buffering", i.e. having to wait for more data to load. There are also some physical limitations with the configuration of the stick with my TV. I had to get the HDMI extender, but even with that it was extremely difficult to plug in the Roku. And, with the extender attached the Roku protrudes below the bottom edge of my TV, which hangs on the wall, causing the TV to tilt to one side. I used a Lego block to even it out. At first I had a lot of trouble getting good connections between the Roku, the HDMI extender, and the HDMI, as well as the electric power cable for the Roku. It's OK now, but any jostling of the wires or the TV and I'm back to pushing everything together to get it working again. Finally, there is some kind of issue with the remotes. I frequently have to "reboot" the remotes by removing/reinserting the batteries in order to get them to work. I'm usually pretty good with electronic devices but maybe I'm just not smart enough to get the Roku to do everything it's supposed to do. It seems like a lot of "fiddling" is required.
The unit freezes frequently. I have yet to get any more than an occasional 1/4 second burst of sound. Doesn't matter who the provider is (Netflix, HULU plus, etc.). I have a 100 meg internet connection with great video on the computer. Never a problem with the cheapest laptop, phone or tablet using the same connection. The ROKU stick would be a nice paperweight if it were heavier.
