I bought this so my wife could watch Netflix on the 19" TV in the kitchen. I had some difficulty getting it lined up to slide into the HDMI port. It is a small TV and the stick hit the base of the TV before it was in place. Once it was in there was no strain on it. Since it lays flat against the back of the TV the TV somewhat blocks the RF signal from the remote if you are using it right in front of the TV. If you back up a bit or move the remote off to the side a bit it is OK. This is my third ROKU and I cannot detect any difference between the stick and my older ROKU's. We have had it a couple of months, and have not encountered any issues so far. You have an option of powering it from a USB port or using the small wall cube. If you use the wall wart it is always ready to go, if you use the USB port it will reboot every time the TV is turned off and on.
Remote only works for a few seconds at a time, changed batteries several times with several different brands and nothing improved. Very frustrating, stopped using completely.
BIRTHDAY GIFT FROM A GRANDSON. EVEN HAD VERY GOOD SERVICE FROM ROKU WHE I CALLED THEIR HELP LINE BECAUSE IT WASNT WORKING.(LEARNED I WAS USING WRONG REMOTE) MAIN PROBLEM I HAVE IS IT OVER HEATS SOMETIMES AND I UNPLUG IT AT NIGHT. AND MY WIFI ISN'T TERRIBLY STRONG. GRAND SON AND GRANDDAUGHTER SET IT UP. SO YOU COULD SAY IT WAS VERY EASY FOR ME.
I have Netflix, Hulu+, Cruncyroll, and UFC Fightpass. I use this all the time. The only downfall is the need for the HDMI stick to have a power source to work. It makes room transfering a little annoying.
