I'm so happy I found out about the roku. I don't have a smart TV but you wouldn't know because the roku makes my tv capable of of doing just as much as a smart TV for a whole lot less.

I want to love Roku but it messes up like weekly. Just freaks out and drops or won't play or something. So it fairly good but when it sucks it sucks hard.

I've had the Roku stick for over a month now and I am most happy with it.
It is in the same location as my other devise and no problems what soever.
My other device was a big headache.

We added two more Rokus instead of cable boxes since most stuff we want to watch is available via streaming.

Ditched cable

I've had my Roku stick for a few months and I'll never go back to cable. It works flawlessly over my Internet connection. Only thing I wish to change is the ability to program my own favorites onto the remote (it comes preprogrammed with favorites such as Netflix, but I don't have a Netflix account so why would I want to keep it as a favorite?).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as good as the boxes

I have had two of these in less than six months. The first one the dongle came loose, The second overheats and I am constantly having to reset it. Also, lately every time I turn on my TV I have to log back into all of my apps. Spend the extra money and buy a box. The Roku boxes cannot be beat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
