Great Little Roku

I would have given this 5 stars but I also have a Roku 3 and it is by far a superior device.
I bought this for when I'm away for work and living out of a camp. It works great over WiFi and I can send content to it from my devices via several methods (PlaytoRoku, Screen pairing,....). A much more open device compared to other streaming sticks and set top devices out there.
Don't buy this if you want to Geo Block and get US content as Roku has a workaround for that and no service has found a workaround yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love Roku

Love Roku but the remote has issues. We have exchanged it twice. Buttons get stuck or the battery case/connections have to be messed with to get it work, fix that and you are golden!

I am overall very happy with the stick. The programing it is allowing us to access is great. I've only had 2 issues, one is not the stick itself but my through my service provider which is buffering with Hulu (and only them so far) far more frequently than it should. The other issue is with the remote. It seems to stop working every once in a while for no particular reason. I can quickly solve it by taking the cover off the battery compartment, slipping one of the batteries out of place then replacing it and closing it up. Don't know why but this works.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unreliable remote

Roku is a great idea. The availability of free movies/features is limited. But it is still better than watching movies/features on a computer.
The biggest problem is with the remote. It stops working after using it for a couple of minutes browsing. I have to remove one battery and reinsert to start it working again.

I always used to have to use an HDMI cable to hook my laptop up to my tv, the Roku is SO convienent and is so little that it does not look messy like my old setup did. It has amazing features and I hardly even watch cable anymore!

Purchased my Streaming Stick 2/2015. Have used it for streaming TV from my Mac Computer with excellent results after I moved my router from under my desk to the top of my desk.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great idea but remote is broken and only worked for a week. Had to download remote to my phone. Pain in the butt to use now.
