We have a large Direct bill. We have a Kindle/Prime acct and have used it for movies. I had to buy the entry level ROKU to find out that it is not a viable option for live TV. Old programs, no current news and anything worth watching is another cost. defeats the purpose of cutting satellite if I'm getting hit with costs on multiple channels. Lastly, the few programs and channels that I do want are not available anywhere on ROKU.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku is the best alternative to a Smart Tv. You have access to many show options. All you need for some is a membership for some sites which is a relatively low price. Great investment.

We bought the stick about a month ago and it has been our main form of entertainment. It set up easily and is very easy to manage. My five year old is easily able to get on and get to the programs he wants to watch. I have recommended your product to family members.
