I totally would recomend Roku to anyone. It's nice that its library is constantly growing, so there is always something you haven't seen!!

Doesn't work well

Shortly after I got it, it started going into a weird reboot cycle where it would restart every five minutes. It eventually stopped doing that, but now it constantly loses connectivity with the remote (I've changed the batteries several times). It slowly becomes less responsive until it stops reacting to the remote altogether, so I have to reset the remote. It takes a lot of effort to use it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The streaming stick is easy to set up and perfect for my wall mounted TV. Only issue is that my TV does not have a USB port to power the stick so I have to use the power adapter, resulting in an exposed power wire. Maybe time for a new TV. So happy with the streaming stick that I bought a second one for home and travel.

Had no idea how much this would change our viewing opportunities! Has the main things we want to watch; and it's so nice to not have to deal with cable, etc. There was no way to justify the expense.
