Having heard so much about it, I wanted to test out the Roku streaming stick. Unfortunately, it seems like this works great, but really only in the US. Channels available across Europe and Africa are extremely limited and you are better off sticking with ChromeCast.
Moreover, setup without a credit card is still not an easy option and requires contacting support. The support team is quite efficient, but none the less, this should NOT be required.
Really hope that they will make an effort for easier setup and more channels available for world travellers in the future!
Down side. When the HDMI plug on your T.V., is in the back with a protruding edge right below it. The stick is soo long it will barely fit in there. Then you have to plug the power cord into the end of it, making it EVEN LONGER! Almost broke mine just trying to use it. My power cord going into it is now bent and if you bump it just a little, no power. So now it's taped together. When the HDMI plug is on the side of the T.V., it's just fine. Mines permanently damaged 5 minutes out of the box, just to use it.
I had boughten this and used it for about 2 weeks before i returned it. It worked great at first but the eventually it took about 10 minutes to load tv shows on hulu and netflix. Most times it didn't even load it would just restart.
