We got the Roku stick as a replacement for our dead Roku 1 unit. It installed in the HDMI slot easily, and set up was a breeze. I also bought the USB charger so I wouldn't have cords running all over. Great pair!! Our wall mounted TV can swivel now, without the worry of cords pulling loose. Love it.

Remote

After about a month of owning my Roku stick, the remote completely stopped working. I've tried restarting it, changing the batteries, and it still won't work. Other than issues with the remote, I'm content with this product.

I like the rocky concept and until my roommate moved out we were happy using the roku2. After buying and using the stick I would probably buy the roku 3 if I had to choose again. Start up is slow which they did warn about. Also I have reset the remote multiple times and it continues not to connect so I have to use the app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
