Better than a regular Roku

I have a Roku box in the bedroom and I prefer the Roku stick! Both work great!

Flawless device

This is my second Roku product and I'm very pleased with it. I've tried the Amazon Fire stick prior to purchasing the Roku stick; but, the Amazon Fire stick, despite being 2 feet away from my wireless router, kept on dropping the internet signal or could not find it. Immediately returned the Fire Stick and paid $10 more for the Roku stick.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Practical and inexpensive alternative

The quality of Cable tv programming is so poor there are days and nights.
when I watched out of habit but didn't really enjoy it. Roku offers a selection of shows I never would even be aware of - shows of excellent quality whether it's Netflix, PBS, Amazon , etc. My 1st Roku did stop working, but they promptly sent a replacement free of charge. The only downside is that you cannot recommend to a friend without going through Facebook which I refuse to do. So Roku loses out on potential new customers.

I am very happy with this service and it is exactly what I expected. However, I am having problems with the remote. As I live 30 miles from where I bought it, I have had no time to take it in.

I purchased the Roku stick and the Roku 1 two months ago. The Roku 1 seems to initiate with no problems while the Roku stick takes several minutes. I watch Netflix on both but the stick takes a couple tries to fire up and can take from 5 to 10 minutes to start. I like the stick in terms of setup to the TV but the function needs improvement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
