although customer support would not admit it, he kept asking me to put the stick on an HDMI port that was on the side of the tv - there isn't one on a 65" tv. If you buy this, make sure you have a port on the side of your tv, literraly or you have to be about 5 feet from it to get it to work. Fortunately, there is an app that works just fine, but in this day and age, why would ROKU build a remote that is line of sight only when the stick goes into the back of the tv?
Bought the Roku when I canceled cable TV due to a price increase. It took a little getting used to purposely choosing a particular genre or show versus just watching whatever came on next or surfing for something interesting. But now I am really into binge watching and prefer that over having to wait a week for the next new episode in a series to be aired. Have had a couple of minor glitches but have been pleased with the technical assistance I have received from customer service. Cannot complain about the variety of networks, movies and shows available. Very happy!
