I bought this less than a month ago and I do like it. I operate it at 1080p and some times the content is too demanding of the processing abilities. Luckily it never hinders the playback itself, the effect is more seen while trying to control it with the remote.
One other problem I have is that the remote constantly loses link with the streaming stick. I am not far away or out of reach, sometimes I am just sitting a meter away from the TV and it still happens. This issue has gotten frustrating. I can't tell if the stick or the remote is at fault. All the while, the Roku app seamlessly controls the device, even when the remote seems to be dead. The only way to revive the remote is to remove the batteries and put them back on. Having to do that almost a few times everyday is frustrating.
I have ordered a replacement and when it arrives, I will see if it is better and if I received a one-off remote. If the experience is better, I will try to update this review.
I will try to leave another review if my experience improves with a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got this from a friend and already want another one. I use it for Netflix and my home media server using the Plex channel. It just works... what more can I say.

I bought Roku a few months ago. I enjoy some programming although can't stand so many ads. Sometimes the remote freezes on me & had to contact technical support a few times.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku Streaming Stick is awesome! It's so easy to install and I love how I can play Netflix and Amazon Prime movies on my 36 inch flat screen tv. Thank you! I always recommend it to everyone in person and online.

This product not good at all ! Very often could not connect well from my home Wifi (compare with other carrier very good to connect any time)

I worried that I would not get the technology right. But Roku is virtually plug and play. Easiest way to get Acorn TV [which has the BBC and ITV shows no one else has] that I love.
