Waste of money and effort

This thing is a total waste of money.
Nothing about it's operation is intuitive.
I still have found nothing useful that's not already free, or that it can be used for that does not come with still more money to be collected, except Amazon premium movies.
It will not work on the Free Library Apps like Hoopla or Overdrive.

I've enjoyed having a selection on Netflix (the main reason I bought Roku). Also have found out there is so much more choices in viewing. Some you have to pay extra for, but most are free. Not sure how to delete a program once it is downloaded, because you're not sure if you want to have it on the lineup until you've downloaded it. Some content I do not want.

Good product but problem with battery life

Very easy to set up and great for watching Netflix on the big screen. However, I wish Roku would fix the battery life problem with the remote control. I thought I had a dud Roku at first, I kept pushing buttons and nothing was happening. It turns out the (lithium!) batteries were dead after maybe 2 days. This kept happening. The batteries have to be taken out of the remote control each time. I've never had to do that with any other remote control.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought this 6 months ago and I have had to fully reset it to factory default 4 different times because it has locked up. I love Roku and the simplicity it adds but spend an extra 20 dollars and buy the better one. The Streaming stick just isn't good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
