I recently set up a Plex server in my home for streaming videos, music and photos and was looking for an easy way to play my content on any of the TV's in the house. The Roku family seemed to be the best choice for Plex compatibility. Not being sure how much I'd like it or use it I opted for the USB stick version. It's low cost, easily portable and has the RF remote. Since getting it I've moved it around to every TV in the house. It's absolutely great and simple to use. Although I added channels to my page, I must admit I rarely use them. My main use is the Plex app and the Roku works great with it!
My room mate has been using the Roku3 for years with no problems at all. I bought a HDMI receiver and got the Roku stick plugged it in to the back of the receiver and an HDMI cable to HDMI out to the television and presto home theatre with only one cable.
I am going on one month with my Roku Stick, and I am in love... I can take it anywhere any room (as long as the TV has HDMI input) I still have a lot to learn but I would totally recommend this product...
