I have a few roku devices around my house's I love them all, they just make tv and movie watching so much easier. The streaming stick is my least favorite though. It is noticeably slower than the roku 3, and the Wi-Fi remote is thick and clunky. It is an amazing streaming device for its size just has a few drawbacks from the standard roku. If you have room and budget get the roku 3. If you are on a budget you can't beat the streaming stick! It blows chromecast away!
The only downfall I've had is with the remote. It randomly stops working so I have to either try to reset it, which a few times hasn't worked, or use the remote app on my phone. It's a tad inconvenient but not enough to keep me from loving my Roku!
It serves the purpose if you really don't watch a lot of TV and basically want the news, weather, public television and a couple of other channels. I get 18 channels, 3 are shopping channels and one children's that I don't need or want. A couple channels' reception are erratic and another two or three are not in HD. I'm glad for the public TV channels and the news, so I don't miss the others. At least I'm no longer paying the high cost of cable.
