I cut my cable cord and bought a ROKU Streaming stick. Just plug it into the TV and after a few codes that you need your pc for it was up and running. Love all the free channels - TV shows, movies and music. There are always the channels that you have to pay for but if its less that your cable bill go for it. I've been recommending the streaming stick to all my friends.
this stick has not worked correctly since it was purchased, the remote does not work for more than 10mins, and the screen will freeze and the unit will need reset about every half hour. Should have just bought the Apple TV.
I bought one for my sons room cause he didn't have cable and ended up buying to more for my living room and bedroom and got rid of cable its a lot cheaper and easy enough for my 5 yr. old to use. The hole family loves it we get to watch what we want when we want to.
We have the Roku because we are military and we're at a temporary base for about a year. We got it so we didn't have to pay a fortune for cable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I find that I have to log out and re-log into certain apps for them to work- and when Disney Junior isn't working for whatever reason, my toddler is not a patient and understanding as you might think. It also sometimes just restarts itself over and over.
