I bought this a couple months ago and opted for the streaming stick because it was less expensive and very portable. As soon as I ween my kids off of regular cable TV, we'll be streaming only and saving a ton of money. There are a lot of options for viewing and my kids love that they can look things up on their phones and play them on the TV. Don't think we'll miss cable TV at all. I certainly won't miss the bill!

Good for Streaming, but remote defective

I like the device very much, but the remote drains batteries in just a few days. I'd give it 5 stars if I received a new remote.

Purchased in Jan 2015 when software upgrade bricked my 2 year old Roku LT ( now fixed) Very pleased with stick but latest software update causes some connection problems. Always works in the end.

Could Improve, But Decent Service

The streaming stick is a nice component, tucked neatly away behind the tv. I appreciate how it presents, similar to how our Netflix streams on our XBox 360. However, it has lagged some and will not load (we use it for Netflix 95% of the time), and I find that I have to disconnect the component and reinsert to resolve the issue. Our Roku 3 seems to be the superior item. I would still recommend both for streaming services.

I have old roku devices roku lt and roku 2 both are faster than this one

This thing is awesome. I been watching Netflix and youtube on a tablet for over a year and now the whole family can enjoy it. Plus the music channels are so cool. Bravo
