Great idea but could be better...

The idea of the thing is great, plug it in hook it up to USB power (I hook it directly to my TV's USB for power). Fire it up and bingo, you are streaming. But...sadly the remote on this thing sucks, it doesn't work half the time I have to re-establish it to the ROKU and (or) unhook the batteries to get it to work. The processor in the streaming stick must be pretty limited as well, it's much slower then my other "full size" ROKU's I have a ROKU 2, a 2 XS as well as a ROKU 3, the 3 is by far the best. The stick is slower than all three. Plus the WiFi is pretty poor as well, I had to practically park my WiFi range extender right on top of the thing to get a good signal. Aside of all of that once it gets up and running it does stream and do all the things ROKU's do but I think I'd pay just a little more and get the full size ROKU unit as this thing is kind of limited most likely by it's small size.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this not really knowing how easy it is to use. I connect right from my phone and I don't need any extra wires.

Poor functionality

I plan to return the stick to the store. It is frustrating and unreliable to use and we've gone through several batteries for the handheld device, and everytime we turn the TV on we must resync the hand held device to the TV. Ridiculous!! Roku doesn't show when the TV turns on, so we must shut off and unplug, rep lug the USB to active ....ugh! Not worth the headache.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The wife bought about a month ago for the reason we got ride of all cable. From charter cable to direct tv tired of paying for stuff we don't watch. Really easy to use I myself is still getting used to it but I do like it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku streaming sticks works verey well for me.and it is more compact size for my many use I have for my tv. I love how small compact hinden is on back of tv.
