Works terrible

This hasn't worked right from the beginning, it will shut off and restart every 15 minutes, or it won't connect. Very frustrating

Constantly freezes!

This is my second roku. The other box Roku has been great. The streaming stick is another story. It has been so frustrating,because it constantly freezes up. When it has been reset ( usually several times), the streaming is very slow and pauses more than iit plays. The other box has none of these problems. If I could apply the price I paid toward another Roku box, I would certainly do that. Thanks!

Not as good as the Roku 3

I purchased the streaming stick 3 months ago however the remote stopped working after one month. There's always disconnect issues as well. You'll be better served purchasing a Roku 3 which is an amazing product and the best in it's class.

I bought a Roku streaming stick for our bedroom TV, I have a Roku 3 in the living room, I bout that one because it has a USB connection so I can play video from an external hard drive. However once i bought the stick I wanted to be able to watch video from that same hd and researched some options, I am able to stream to the stick and roku 3 after turning an old PC into a media server on our local network. the stick works great for that and all the other apps .
I would recommend this to a friend!

Slow

Compared to the Roku 3 the Roku stick is VERY slow, the connection to WiFi is much weaker, and the RF remote is boggy. The batteries that came with the remote were practically dead, and with new batteries the response to the remote was still slow and required frequent punching the same button and would frequently lock up, whereas using my smart phone as the remote, which I don't care to do, had a much faster response.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
