I live in Southern California and visit Mexico often. I purchased my Roku Stick at Best Buy after asking if it would work in Mexico, they said "Of Course It Would." So I tried setting it up down there and it would NOT work. I have two Roku boxes at home (Orange County), love them, wouldn't trade them for free pay TV but I think I can only use the "Streaming Stick" for travel in the USA. I'll keep it for that although when I go on a vacation I usually try to see another country. I wonder if it will work on a cruise?
the product works once the installation is completed. unfortunately it took two hours with support to make this happen. the included instructions are entirely deficient and the setup is overly complicated. I had the same problems with the first roku although not as bad. I would never buy another.
I bought my Roku about a month ago. I have been priced out of cable television and decided I wanted to go the streaming route. I have been very pleased with my choice. Roku supports both Acorn TV and Netflix, two services I was sure I wanted. I am also considering Sling TV and Roku supports that as well. I have watched some amazing television shows and movies I never could have enjoyed through cable, particularly the Australian and New Zealand shows. I really like my Roku so far and would recommend (and have) it to anyone.
Love the convenience Works as well as my Roku3 What I don't like is what happens when you break the remote. No Universal remote will work with the stick. Sucks. You have to buy another complete Roku Stick package. Stores do not sell this remote.
We just bought our second streaming stick for my mom's house. It has simply changed the way we watch TV. We love the amazing variety of content. Plus it's super easy for the entire family to use.
