Given our limited tech abilities, once our daughter set us up we have enjoyed the availability Roku has given us in terms of entertainment. Being able to watch Netflix is awesome.
I bought this about a month ago under the assumption that it was great and would give me a variety of tv channels to choose from. My remote barely worked so I called customer service( who was great) after trouble shooting for about an hour( I was getting frustrated) the man sent me a brand new remote. It took about 5 days to receive it and since then it is wonderful. Although I wasted about $40 on various channels ( CBS all access, Hulu, Netflix, and Sling tv) because the original remote did not work I am pleased with it now.
I bought it about 5 weeks ago and had to replace the batteries three times already. Many times i had to unplug it and let it reset before I could get it to move anywhere. Not impressed wiyh it at all, thinking about replacing it with something else.
I have one on every TV, last one I bought came with the soft controls, OK button in the middle of the up down and sideway arrows. Really don't like that, does not always work I have to push to hard. I prefer the old ones better with the OK button separate and controls are hard plastic.
I bought my Roku about a month ago, and was very excited to watch Netflix on my big tv as opposed to my laptop. During most of my shows the connection failed and interrupted my viewing. There has been many times when the error message said to check my connection, which I did, and it said it was connected but then failed to stream. I often have to remove the stick and plug it back in to get it to activate. Also, if I don't remember to remove the batteries from the remote after use, they go dead in a day or two. It is basically an "ordeal" whenever I want to watch something, as it is about a 20 minute process to figure out what's wrong.
