Considering I have the full blown Roku in my family room, buying the stick was an easy choice. I put it in my son room and for some reason, sometimes it will not stream. I had to reboot it, from scratch twice! When i stream in other rooms, everything work out fine. It has been a few weeks and so far so good. If I do not have any additional concerns, I will change my review.
I've been using my Roku Stick for over a month now with only one very minor complaint. The batteries in the remote don't seem to last long. As a work around I just downloaded the Roku ap to my phone and use that instead.
I have bought two Roku sticks in the last 6 months and am generally happy with them. My only real complaint is that the remote becomes unresponsive on both sticks (pressing buttons has no effect) several times a week. Re-booting by unplugging them and plugging them back in (not easy because where they plug in to the TVs is not very accessible, particularly for a wall-mount) nearly always seems to fix it.
I have had my stick about a month and have enjoyed using it. However there are some things that I would like to see added to the screens. I am watching the West WING Series. Each time I start a new episode It would be nice to know what it is about. As it move from one episode to the next there is about 10 seconds of a screen that tells you what it is about but it changes before I can read most of it. If I push pause to freeze it I loose everything and the next episode starts. It would be nice if you could find out information about the episode at anytime during watching the episode like the info key on my Directv remote. There should be a better way to find movies or TV Series shows . Not much luck doing that.
