I love my old Roku, but this one has been a pain. The remote is slow, and often non responsive to any input. I've tried new batteries, flipping them around, throwing it against the wall, running it through the garbage disposal, nothing seems to help.
This is a great concept and device. The only problem is that it won't work on certain wireless routers. I have spent hours trying to resolve this. Reseting the device, re-setting the router etc. Finds the WI-FI network but will not connect to the internet. Other devices on the same wireless router are fine. My particular case is with a DLINK dir-655. Wonder if others are having the same issue. Connected to a different network fine.
I bought this and wasn't sure what I was expecting. I had never used anything like this before. I am undecided if I like it or not. It is slow at times and freezes up a lot. But at least I get to watch Netflix. I don't like how it lets you pick "free" channels, but then you have to make an account and it says it's not free or is a weeks trial. That's too much trouble to go thru then find that out. Fix the slowness and the freezing up and it should be fine.
Maybe not as much memory, etc. But I can absolutely no difference between the Rolku3's and the streaming stick I own. I also have a few of the Fire-TV's, and I would suggest the Roku stick/Roku3 (Fire-TV's for light gaming though).
