I've had this for six months and now that slingtv is on roku it's a must have for someone like me who don't have a tv provider. Excellent product to own!

The Roku streaming stick is ok in theory but it fails in performance. I didn't mind waiting 30-60 seconds for it to boot up every time I turn on my TV, but most of the apps have a poor performance on the stick. My old Roku 2 is a much snappier experience for all apps, whereas the stick struggles with some apps, especially Sling. Browsing the channels on Sling is an ordeal not to be endured by the faint of heart. Netflix on the Roku streaming stick is mildly, but consistently, frustrating. Amazon works pretty well, as does Plex.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3 times faster than a DVD player w/wifi. the search is easy. list all movies. netflix always.. set up isn't difficult..
