Great substitute for cable. They just need to add comcast to their provider list so that I can take advantage of some of the channels.

I looked at the competitors options and whilst the Roku is a little dearer it is SO much better. The versatility of the Roku with a great remote operation is great for us.

Great features...horrible loading time

I've had the roku around a month now. It has great features, it's really easy to use, and it's not confusing at all. Even people not suave with technology can use it the first time. I really loved that I didn't have to plug it in an outlet either.
However, the reason I gave it 3 stars.... I absolutely abhor how long it takes for features to load. I wait minutes for the icons to appear and sometimes it won't even load until I reset it. Gave it a 3 because it might be my internet connection, but hopefully since I'm moving my room around I'll get it more in tune with it. Hoping it might work better then.

I had to switch back to old roku

I started using the new roku stick to use new features such as screen mirroring. However, while I was using the sling tv, after turning on the TV the next day, screen would go completely blank. Tried pressing everything on the remote but nothing helps. Only removing the charger and putting back again. So I ended up removing it and using an old version of roku.

I was given my streaming stick for Christmas, and I love it so much! It really makes for a great gift & if you have a subscription to Netflix, Hulu, or any other streaming service, get a Roku! The streaming stick makes it easy to move from room to room and it's easy to pack away for vacations too!
