I had a goal in 2015 - get rid of cable! With the wealth of channels that include access to current and past TV shows, Movies, YouTube to name just a few, Roku was the answer. My only complaint is that the remote seems to go through batteries. Occasionally, the remote becomes frozen, due to weak batteries, or sometimes even just removing and re-inserting the batteries will fix the problem. All in all I'm am pleased with Roku and have purchase a second stick for my bedroom TV.
I got a free Roku Stream Stick with my subscription to Sling TV. When I attempted to activate it, the remote never really worked properly. After 30 minutes and a series of error messages, I went on line and found tons of complaints about the remote. I then downloaded the Roku Ap on my phone and am using that as my remote. We streamed a movie last night, and had two places where it broke up and buffered for 10 seconds. I will give this an 'average' rating.
