I love my roku! I can watch Netflix and Hulu and not have the large cable bill every month. Very easy to install. Just plug into the hdmi port and it's ready to go!
Have been trying this for about a month. The stick is performing fine but have had some issues with Netflix streaming. Nothing major and with anything new there are bugs to work out.
This was recommended to me by a friend. I was hesitant, but I will try anything once. This was so easy to set up, and now I can enjoy watching tv w/o paying a huge cable bill. I downgraded my package to basic.
Had some initial problems getting and keeping a full HD (720p or 1080p) signal but resolved that by installing a booster for my wifi - in my experience needs a superior signal for streaming at maximum effectiveness than using, for instance, a laptop.
My ROKU 3 died...so I had to get another form of ROKU, and I did not really want to spend another $100.00 so I got the streaming stick instead. It works just like the ROKU 3 but the remote control freezes up a lot - I have to take the back off and pull the batteries out then reinsert them to make it work. Otherwise, OK
I received my streaming stick as a gift and I am enjoying the large variety of channels. I can watch the news weather a movie or a tv show when I want doesn't matter what time it is. The only thing that I would recommend is to put an off button on the remote.
I bought this a month ago and enjoy the size and function of the Roku Stick. It's not bulky, and performs the same as the other Roku Box. Most definitely a keeper.
I have had my Roku Stick for a month. Everything is great, the interface is laid out really well and there are a ton of options for channels. I primarily use the Stick for SlingTV and Amazon Prime. The great experience comes to an end when using the remote. The remote OFTEN has problems with lag and getting stuck. Scrolling to the right one channel can be tricky, many times resulting in permanently scrolling right. Sometimes the remote just plain doesn't work! There are tips and guides to right these situations but those are temporary fixes and the problem always surfaces again. There is also an app to use your phone as a remote, but that also suffers from many of the same problems. I would give 5 stars if the remote problems didn't often result in me turning off the TV because it wasn't worth the trouble.
