Remote freezes

I bought this product a month ago. I love that there are so many channels and diversity of content. It works very well with WiFi.
My problem is that after an hour or so of use, the remote seems to freeze. Even with new batteries. If I remove a battery and put it back in, it starts working again. But from that first time forward, it keeps repeating the process frequently. Very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I own 3 Rokus and one streaming stick. We cut the cord a long time ago and this stick was for a wall-mounted 22" TV next to an island in the kitchen. The stick's low-profile made a much better choice than a normal ROKU unit. Unfortunately, the TV's HDMI port had the stick going straight out, so I got an HDMI elbow and now the TV is flush against the wall, and every is perfect. Expect the ROKU stick to be a little slower than a regular free-standing Roku device, and you'll have to probably plug it into a USB port for power, as there's either no juice or not enough in a conventional HDMI port. The only downside is that the unit boots up when the TV is powered on, but all things considered, that doesn't bother me.

Needs a better remote control

The remote works about half of the time... It is really annoying. Googled the problem and found out I could download an app for my phone to use a remote. Now I can't have my phone when kids are watching ROKU :(

Bought the Roku about a month ago and I absolutely love it... Easily accessed an abundance of channels . The remote is small and easy to use .
