Problem setting up the device. Freezes a lot and really isn't as fluid as they make it out to be. I would wait at loading screens for minutes. And we have wifi speeds peaking at 60mbps

Nice, but I hate the remote

Easy to use and the interface is a lot quicker than the old 2500X model we have, but the remote is a pain. It's not an infrared remote, because the stick is usually out of sight, but that means we can't program our universal remote to control the Roku and gave to use two remotes instead. Bummer. Wish I went for a Roku 1 or 2 instead, which use a normal remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Remote is worthless

While the usb insert is fairly stable ( has only locked up twice in 4 weeks) the remote is worthless. It fails to connect most of the time, is glitchy, and requires you be within 10 feet for it to possibly acquire,and control. The I-pad is more reliable but constantly is loosing connection with the ROKU and it has to re-discover the USB insert.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love how easy it is to navigate my roku, but the remote always gives out. I constantly have to remove the batteries and place them back in to turn it on again. Thank goodness for the remote app.

Good Value for Effective Streaming

Works very well with good choice of streaming services. I especially like the Roku-delivered Acorn TV, Amazon Prime and Netflix. Only complaint is the search function. I would love a remote that contained a key pad to use for Search. The current method is slow and cumbersome. Other than that, Roku does everything I want it to although some operations could be a bit faster I am looking forward to Roku 4 -- with a better input system for Search.
