Roku stick

We bought and love. We have the roku stick but remote worked for first 15 minutes then we had to down load remote on our smart phones.

New buttons on Roku controller make it easier

This is a great product and the bonus is new buttons that make getting to channels even easier. Big bonus is that it no longer needs a separate external unit, if you order the HDMI version.

I originally bought the Chromecast, but I took it back and I like the Roku Streaming Stick better. I prefer to switch to different providers (HBO, Netflix) from one screen than to have to open various apps on my phone. I also like that Roku remembers my passwords and I don't have to enter them every time. Even when I go between my house and my neighbor's house, it remembers her wifi password and mine so I don't have to enter them every time. The only thing about Chromecast was that I was able to mirror my laptop on it (not my phone, it's too old). I can't mirror my laptop or phone (too old) on the Roku. But I don't have too much need for it. You can see photos, videos and music, though. My only complaint is that my remote keeps freezing and they haven't been able to fix it. I use the app on my phone as the remote, but when I go to my neighbor's house, I need to use the remote to switch to her wifi before my phone will work. That's why I gave it 4 stars.

Great Product Once I received my Extension

I had a stutter with the remote at first and the system was unresponsive at times. I requested a HDMI Extension and now the problems have gone away. May have just been the position of my HDMI Port but the device has been wonderful. Not much speed difference between the roku 3 and the stick. Before rating the product bad, please try the extender. They will send one out for free. I think they should be included in the future.

This is my second streaming stick---using it in a bedroom. I'm just so pleased with all the options available. What a great investment for TV watching.
