Disappointed!

I have a two Roku 3 units and have been very pleased with them. Was excited when the Roku Stick was announced as it was about half the price at the time. It may just be my house, but I can't get either Roku Stick to work reliably. I have purchased two more Roku 3 units to eliminate the frustration.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not as good as the XS

I have a Roku XS and it blows this thing out of the water. The stick is slow, the response time is sluggish, and the remote...oh the remote...dont get me started on the remote! It disconnects all...the...time... I will be using it to navigate around to different channels and put it down for 5 mins, and go to pick it back up and it wont work...I have to remove the batteries and put them back in (yes they are fresh batteries) and then it reconnects to the stick. I wish I bought another XS or another box style.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Still better than paying cable prices...

I bought the streaming stick about a month ago and at times it freezes or the ROKU is not recognizing the remote... I reset it and didn't really give me problems anymore... I don't recommend the streaming stick But the regular ROKU will be fine... it's still better than paying cable prices...

Best Bang for the Buck

I was looking for an escape from the growing cost of satellite and found the Roku Stick. The product has paid for itself the first month after turning off my satellite service. Now I stream what I want, when I want, from any device I want. The controls are user friendly and programs/movies/shows are easy to search for. I love using the Roku Stick when I sit back to be entertained.
