I have 2 Roku sticks. As a parent and child care provider, I appreciate that I can share great educational programs with my clients and still allow my teen to see really cool flix with his buddies. The best part is the fact that I can use my Amazon prime music and video account to enjoy many things I truly love. Of course, I also have Netflix and tons of independent channels. I love my Roku sticks! I'm sure you will too!
Bought this to replace my "Smart TV" sorry excuse for streaming apps. They were slow...so slow. I had to wait 2 minutes roughly from powering on the television to where I could actually click on the Netflix icon and start viewing. And then after a couple months of this the Netflix app just refused to play videos anymore with no fix available from Netflix or Samsung. I had enough. Roku Streaming stick is instant. I am watching Netflix in less then 10 seconds after turning on my television. 'Nuff said. My only complaint is inputting text on screen with the little remote is a pain and the YouTube app search function is doubly painful since it has to refresh the search results after every letter type which is needlessly time consuming (can't i just push a button to search after i finish typing?). Thats my only complaint really.
Remote controller acts like it sticks and starts scrolling through the screens. You need to push the reverse direction to get it to stop, then go back. Now the system freezes up, then you need to unplug for 10 to 15 seconds and restart.
